Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
+
No. IFHO is an out-of-network, cash-based practice and does not bill insurance directly. We can provide a superbill you may submit for potential reimbursement, though reimbursement is not guaranteed. Many patients use HSA or FSA funds for eligible services and diagnostics; eligibility varies by plan.
Does IFHO replace my primary care provider?
+
For most pathways, no — please maintain a primary care provider for acute issues and routine medical care. Our work is designed to complement that relationship.
Concierge Medicine is the exception. Concierge members can have Dr. Bajnath serve as their primary care physician, with unlimited access and specialist coordination handled directly.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, dial 911. This applies to every patient, in every pathway, including Concierge.
Care begins with one of three appointments. Most new patients book the Precision Longevity Consult ($600) with Anil Bajnath, MD. If your goal is a specific procedure such as EBOO/EBO₂, book the Regenerative Medicine Suitability Consult — 60 minutes, $600. If your question is performance rather than risk, book the Performance Medicine Assessment ($695) with our performance medicine team.
Are labs included in my consultation or program?
+
It depends on the pathway. Advanced omic testing is included in the Biological Audit®, and Biological Audit Elite and Concierge Medicine continue with quarterly specialty labs thereafter. For consultation-only visits, diagnostics are selected based on your goals and are priced separately. Optional add-ons such as CancerCheck screening and advanced imaging are billed separately in every pathway.
Are labs covered by insurance?
+
Some standard labs may be covered depending on your plan. Functional and specialty tests typically are not.
How long does the Biological Audit take?
+
Roughly two months end to end, across four steps: consultation, specimen collection, analysis, and a results review with Dr. Bajnath. Analysis runs 4–6 weeks from the date the lab receives your specimen — whole genome sequencing is the long pole and cannot be rushed without compromising the result. You leave the results review with a detailed report, a precision plan, and your digital twin.
What does specimen collection involve?
+
Collection is matched to your panel. Some programs need a single blood draw; others require several visits or additional sample types such as saliva. Elite and Concierge members can have collection arranged at home, at work, or at another convenient location within thirty miles of our office.
I'm only interested in weight loss, peptides, regenerative therapies, or hormones. What is the process?
+
You do not need a full program. For procedure-based regenerative therapies, the Regenerative Medicine Suitability Consult is the right starting point — a 60-minute visit with Anil Bajnath, MD, at $600. Your provider reviews your goals, determines eligibility, and outlines any required labs or prerequisites. The outcome is a clear yes, no, or not yet, with a stepwise plan; it is a suitability and sequencing visit, not a commitment to any specific treatment.
Are regenerative therapies included in the programs?
+
No. PRP, exosomes, EBOO/EBO₂, and ozone therapy are billed separately from consultation fees and program fees. Biological Audit Elite and Concierge members receive member pricing on all programs and regenerative medicine therapies.
Do you prescribe peptides and hormones?
+
Yes, when medically appropriate and legally permitted within your state.
Do you offer virtual visits?
+
Yes, when allowed by your state's licensing laws and when clinically appropriate. Appointments are booked as in-person by default — if you prefer telemedicine, please call before scheduling so we can confirm Dr. Bajnath is licensed in your state. 410.858.4086
Why is capacity limited?
+
Each program requires direct physician time for interpretation, strategy, and ongoing adjustment. Concierge Medicine is capped at fifty patients per year so that level of attention remains possible. The Biological Audit® and Elite open as capacity allows.
No. Due to the personalized nature of our services, all fees are non-refundable.
