Strategic dermal filler treatments designed to restore volume, refine proportion and support facial harmony—without changing what makes you recognizable.
Dermal fillers are injectable gels used to restore selected areas of volume loss, soften certain folds and refine facial contours. The most natural result begins with understanding how the face works as a whole—not treating one feature in isolation.
At the Institute for Human Optimization, we assess bone structure, soft-tissue support, symmetry, facial movement, skin quality and proportion before recommending treatment. Sometimes the area that concerns you is not the only area influencing what you see.
Product type, placement and technique are selected by your provider according to the tissue, treatment depth and intended outcome. The plan comes first; the syringe does not.
Age-related changes occur across skin, fat, ligaments and bone. Dermal fillers can provide targeted support beneath the skin, replace selected volume and refine transitions between facial features. Depending on the formulation, treatment may emphasize softness, contour, projection or structural support.
Your provider evaluates proportion, symmetry, tissue quality and how each feature relates to the face around it.
Different fillers behave differently. Selection is based on the area, tissue characteristics and intended result.
We prioritize balanced correction and may recommend staged treatment when that better supports a refined outcome.
Your concern may be focused, or it may benefit from a broader facial-balancing strategy. Each recommendation is based on your anatomy and priorities.
Refines shape, border, proportion and symmetry or restores age-related volume while respecting natural movement.
Restores selected midface support and contour to create a smoother, more balanced transition through the face.
Enhances projection and proportion to support profile balance and the relationship between the lower face and lips.
Creates strategic definition along the lower face when filler is appropriate for the anatomy and intended result.
Softens selected folds around the mouth while evaluating the structural support influencing them.
Coordinates treatment across selected features to improve proportion rather than maximizing any single area.
Addresses carefully selected temple hollowing to support a softer transition through the upper face.
Evaluates under-eye hollowing in the context of cheek support, skin quality and swelling risk before treatment is considered.
Hyaluronidase may be considered for selected hyaluronic-acid filler concerns following an individualized assessment.
We want the conversation centered on the outcome you are trying to achieve, not on choosing a syringe count before your anatomy has been evaluated. Following your assessment, we present the recommended treatment plan and complete price before you proceed.
This allows your provider to select the appropriate product, placement and treatment sequence for your features rather than forcing the result into a patient-selected volume.
Your appointment begins with a review of your goals, relevant health history and previous injectable experience. Your provider evaluates your face at rest, in motion and from multiple angles, then discusses the recommended areas, product strategy and complete price before proceeding.
Filler is placed with a needle or cannula according to the treatment plan. Swelling, tenderness, firmness, redness, temporary asymmetry and bruising can occur. Results are visible immediately, but the appearance continues to refine as swelling resolves and the product integrates.
Complete your health history accurately and tell your provider about medications, supplements, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, dental work, active infections, previous filler treatments and prior reactions. Do not discontinue prescribed medication unless the prescribing clinician instructs you to do so.
When possible, avoid makeup over the intended treatment areas.
Because temporary bruising or swelling can occur, allow adequate time before photographs or special occasions.
Tell us which fillers and areas were previously treated, when treatment occurred and whether anything was dissolved.
Your provider will give you pre-care and post-care guidance based on your treatment plan.
That is not our objective. We prioritize proportion, restraint and treatment that remains consistent with your existing features. When a staged approach is more appropriate than completing everything in one visit, your provider will explain why.
Change is generally visible immediately, but early swelling can temporarily exaggerate or obscure the result. The settled appearance is commonly evaluated around two weeks, although healing varies by area and patient.
Longevity varies according to the filler selected, treatment area, amount placed, tissue characteristics, metabolism and movement. Your provider will discuss a reasonable expectation for your specific plan.
Many patients return to routine activities after treatment, but visible swelling or bruising may last several days and can persist longer in some areas. Plan adequate healing time before photographs, travel or important events.
Fillers differ in firmness, flexibility, lifting capacity and how they integrate with tissue. Your provider selects the product according to the anatomy, treatment depth and intended outcome rather than asking you to choose by brand.
We use outcome-based pricing rather than asking you to purchase a predetermined number of syringes. Following your assessment, you will receive the recommended plan and complete price before deciding whether to proceed.
Same-day treatment may be available when sufficient time is reserved, treatment is appropriate and all clinical requirements are satisfied. More complex facial-balancing plans may be staged across visits.
