Founder & CEO, Institute for Human Optimization
Dr. Bajnath is a board-certified physician whose work sits at the intersection of precision medicine, longevity science, and human performance. Through the Institute for Human Optimization, he helps patients understand their own biology in detail and turn that understanding into measurable change.
Research, writing, and speaking
At the Institute for Human Optimization, Dr. Bajnath built a physician-led practice around a simple premise: most medicine reacts to symptoms, and it does not have to. His approach combines advanced diagnostics, multi-omic analysis, and systems-based thinking to identify what is actually driving a patient's health — before it becomes a diagnosis.
As Founding President of the American Board of Precision Medicine, he helps set the educational and clinical standards for physicians practicing data-informed personalized medicine. The Longevity Equation, his book, lays out the framework connecting systems biology, metabolic science, and targeted intervention that underpins that work.
He teaches clinical precision medicine and health optimization at George Washington University, and hosts The Pursuit of Precision, where he interviews the clinicians and researchers reshaping what is possible in human health.
Board certified through the American Board of Family Medicine, following a Family Medicine residency at the University of Maryland. His clinical and academic work centers on applying systems biology and multi-omic data to real-world patient care.
My mission is to move medicine from a reactive model to one built on precision, prevention, and personalization. Anil Bajnath, MD
